Domestic midweek, off-peak cities, red-eyes, and connections nobody wanted. It rarely shows up as a family of four to Orlando the Saturday before spring break.

How to search

Be flexible on airport and time of day. Drop the “must be nonstop” filter if a one-stop still gets you in tonight. Read bags: a last-minute basic fare plus a gate-checked bag can match a main-cabin total you could have bought last month. How far in advance.

If a stranger DMs you a last-minute “held fare,” it is a scam until proven otherwise — scams.
