Spring break is a family of weeks, not a national holiday. College towns empty on different Fridays than K–12 districts. Fares to MCO, MIA, CUN, and SJU rise in bands through March. If you search “a week in March” without checking the school calendar you are flying against, you will land on someone else’s peak.
Write down the exact outbound and return your household needs. Search those. Then search the adjacent weeks. If a week earlier is $200 cheaper round-trip in USD, that is the comparison that matters — not a blog that says “March is expensive.”
Unexcused absences are a school policy, not an airfare policy. If you pull children during term, still book as children with correct ages — infants and children. Peak weeks sell out adjacent seats; pick seats early or pay later.
Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico, and mountain towns. Open flights from your city and a destination hub such as Miami or Cancun, then live-search. Guide “from $X” is not a spring-break quote.
