Change and cancel rules are written on the fare, not on the search card. Basic economy is often non-changeable. Main cabin on many US airlines dropped change fees for domestic trips but still charges the fare difference. Refundable fares cost more up front. Azurovia does not process changes. The seller who issued the ticket — airline or travel site — is who you call.
US Department of Transportation rules generally require US and foreign airlines selling to US consumers to offer a 24-hour hold or a 24-hour cancellation without penalty when the ticket is bought at least seven days before departure. That is a floor, not a marketing perk. It can apply whether you bought on the airline site or through a travel site, but you must use the channel that issued the ticket, and you must act inside the window. Confirm the exact cutoff on the confirmation email.
Nonrefundable usually means the fare value may sit as credit, minus a cancel fee if one still applies, or it may be lost on basic economy. “Free changes” still mean you pay any increase in the new fare. Award tickets and some consolidator tickets follow different contracts. Same-day confirmed changes and standby are airline products with their own fees and elite waivers.
If a travel site issued the ticket, the airline may refuse to change it and send you back to the site. If the airline issued it, the travel site cannot always touch it. Read whose name is on the confirmation. Schedule changes initiated by the airline often unlock a free reroute or refund even on a nonrefundable fare — that is the operating carrier and the seller together, not Azurovia.
If dates might move, compare a fare that allows changes against the cheaper frozen fare. Search nearby dates on Azurovia first so you know the fare difference before you call. Keep screenshots of the original itinerary. We still cannot cancel for you.
